At the age 19, Lily Lau ascended to her father’s position becoming the 8th Generation Grandmaster of the Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu system. Grandmaster Lily Lau had no choice because of circumstances and of cultural expectations she had to rise to the position.
Grandmaster Lau is involved in all of her schools she travels regularly to these schools to conduct master classes, seminars and workshops.
Grandmaster Lau is the first and only women to take over a kung fu system and to teach openly.
Grandmaster Lily Lau is the oldest daughter of the late Great Grandmaster Lau Fat Mang (of blessed memory). Grandmaster Lau Fat Mang was the 7th Generation Grandmaster of the Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu system. On March 17,1964, at the age of 62 Great-Grandmaster passed.
Kung Fu is an integral part of Chinese culture and Grandmaster Lau is determined to continue her father’s dream of spresding Eagle Claw Kung Fu. Grandmaster Lau has been working very hard to make this dream come true that today she has schools worldwide: United States, Brazil, England, Greece, Puerto Rico and China.
